Confirmation of identity
Here, we will confirm that the chassis number and engine type of the presented vehicle are identical to the numbers declared in the application form.
Items checked are as follows:
- Whether the chassis number is as declared in the application form
- Whether the engine type is as declared in the application form
- Whether the number plate is as declared in the application form
- Whether the vehicle category is as declared in the application form
- Whether the usage of vehicle has not been changed
- Whether the vehicle shape is as declared in the application form
Inspection course operation procedures and precautions
Line up at an inspection line. Each inspection line is given a number, so please line up at the appointed line. Please ask an inspector if you have not been appointed a line.
When inspecting the engine room, stop the engine, open the hood, keep the hood open with a supporter stick etc., and follow your inspector's instructions.
External inspection
External inspection of the body and frame, seat and seat belt, safety-related devices, running system, lamps, etc., will be carried out using an inspection hammer or through the eyes of the inspector.
Items checked are as follows:
- Whether there is no problem with the body (chassis) and frame
- Whether there is no problem with the safety-related devices
- Whether there is no problem with the running system
- Whether there is no problem with the seat and seat belt
- Whether there is no problem with the lamps
Inspection course operation procedures and precautions
- Keep all windowshields closed when inspecting the side windows on both the driver's and the passenger's sides.
- When indicated by the inspector, operate the horn, direction indicator, or windshield wiper. Do not operate them unless told to do so.
- Start or stop the engine as indicated by the display of the inspection machine or as directed by your inspector.
- When finished, have your inspection result slip stamped and move on to the next block.
- Make sure that the luggage space, roof rack, etc. are empty.
- Make sure that the seats, seatbelts, emergency signal equipments, fire extinguishers, etc. could be checked.
- Make sure that all hubcaps have been removed.
- Make sure that all lamp covers and other attached covers have been removed.
- Make sure that odometer into the state where the total mileage was displayed.
