Procedures Before the Inspection Day
Renewal Inspection can be undergone one month before the term of validity goes out.
Checks and Maintenance
Checks and maintenance must be carried out according to the Motor Vehicle Checking Standards.
For items that cannot be checked on your own, consult a maintenance garage near you.
Checks and maintenance can be carried out before or after the inspection.
If you plan to carry out this step after passing the inspection, go on to the Reservation of Inspection.
Filling out the Records of Periodic Checks, Maintenance and Repairs
Fill out the results on the Records of Periodic Checks, Maintenance and Repairs.
If the checks and maintenance was conducted at a maintenance garage, have them fill out the results for you.
Also, have the other necessary documents ready.

Reservation of Inspection
Once a date is set, make a reservation.
As for the renewal inspection, you can take the inspection at any local land transport offices, etc.
if the reservation cannot be taken, you car take inspection at any other local land transport office, etc.

Procedures of the Inspection Day
Bring in your vehicle to the inspection station to be inspected.
Reception of Inspection
Present the inspection application form to the reception counter. Your reservation and documents will be confirmed.
If you are unfamiliar with the inspection procedures, take a look around the inspection course beforehand.
If you have any other questions, please ask the staffs at the reception counter.
Carrying out the Inspection
At the inspection course, inspectors will inspect each vehicle thoroughly and efficiently.
Please follow the guidance signs of each inspection course when undergoing the inspection.
Ａ.Renewal of Validity Term (If passed)
Present the necessary documents to the Renewal Inspection reception counter.
A new motor vehicle inspection certificate and an inspection sticker will be issued. Confirm that they are correct, and place the new sticker on the upper-middle part of your vehicle's windshield.
Please take off the old sticker.
Ｂ.Re-inspection (If disqualified)
Re-check disqualified parts and carry out thorough maintenance.
After the checks and maintenance, return to the inspection course for a re-inspection.
